Message from the Head of the Department
The Department of Business Administration started functioning from September 2002. Since its inception, the Department is pledged to produce managers profound with, leadership skills and technical competency, capable enough to cater to the demand of efficient managers for facing management challenges in an increasingly complex global business environment.
To this end, we are working to provide students with opportunities, teaching expertise, modern teaching aids, laboratory facilities, industry oriented knowledge and excellent course curriculum.
We have been offering BBA and MBA programs. Major and interdisciplinary courses, included in the curricula of both the programs, are designed to focus on imparting knowledge , skills and abilities which will help future managers to strategically manage in a changed and technologically advanced economy.
Keeping in mind the mission of our University, the Department of Business Administration is also committed to provide the learners with time bound, job oriented, cost effective, and dynamic education so that they could ultimately become competent human resource. a) The academic year of Department of Business Administration is divided into three Semesters as follows:

b) The BBA program is a 48 (forty eight)-month study of 12 semesters for regular students. A regular student is expected to finish his/her program within 4 years if he/she undertakes the normal course loads offered in a semester. If a student takes less than normal load offered in a semester, he/she will not be able to complete the BBA degree within the normal period of 4-years.

Selection of Courses
A student will have to choose the courses in a Semester in consultation with the course coordinator or his authorized nominee. Students will not be allowed to choose a course without first completing the prerequisite course(s), if any, for that course. A course, other than specialization course, will not be offered unless at least 12 students register for that course.

About the Program
MBA is a regular program of Prime University designed in accordance with the needs of the present time. MBA study gives opportunities to the students to understand overall management affairs of business, economics as well as the environment needed for smooth conduction of business of contemporary time. It is believed that a person having MBA degree from Prime University shall find a smooth path of the business world.
Length of the program:
A student is to complete 48 credit hours of study to earn an MBA degree over a period of four (04) semesters.
Admission Requirements for 48 credit program:
Minimum graduation from recognized institution with minimum six (06) points (SSC to Degree level) and at least three (03) years job experience at executive level.
Three (03)/ Four (04) years honors degree in Business Studies (Accounting, Finance, HRM, Management, Marketing, MIS, International Business).
Course waiver will be determined by the admission committee on the basis of academic background.
Master of Business Administration (MBA) 36 Credits

MBA is a regular program of Prime University designed in accordance with the needs of the present time. MBA study gives opportunities to the students to understand overall management affairs of business, economics as well as the environment needed for smooth conduction of business of contemporary time. It is believed that a person having MBA degree from Prime University shall find a smooth path of the business world.

A student is to complete 36 credit hours of study to earn an MBA degree over a period of three (03) semesters
Admission Requirements for 36 credit program:
Students having four (04) years BBA degree with minimum CGPA 2.50 at the scale of 4.00.
Students having B.Com (Hons.) and M.Com degree with two (02) years working experience at executive level.
