The Department of Education is one of the leading departments of Prime University. The department started its journey in 2007 under the faculty of Arts and Social Science, for the teachers of primary, secondary and higher secondary levels of education as well as for the educators. One year Bachelor of Education (BEd) and One year Master of Education (MEd) program are conducted under this department.

Message from the Head of the Department
Welcome to the Department of Education at Prime University. The Department of Education is one of the leading departments not only in Prime University but also in the country. The Department of Education started its journey in 2007 under the faculty of Arts and Social Science for the teachers of primary, secondary and teacher educators. Department of Education of Prime University is offering one year of BEd and one year of MEd programs from its beginning with name and fame.
From its very inception, the Department of Education has been imparting quality and scholastic education for which it anchored the scholar like former DG, NAEM; Project Director, Female Stipend Project;and Director, Monitoring and Evaluation Wing, DSHE. Besides, some foreign students of Philippine, Ghana, and Zimbabwe have been pursuing their BEd and MEd degree because of its best teaching forces and modern international standard course curriculum. Moreover, number of students is increasing day by day because of quality teachers, permanent campus, modern and digital library, high bandwidth WiFi facility etc.

The objective of the program is to develop human quality and trained human resource for different disciplines of Education through comprehensive training following appropriate course curriculum. It has been identified by the concerned authorities that the country is badly suffering from dearth of quality teachers/education administrators at the primary and secondary level. Considering all those lapses, the Academic Council of Prime University has decided to introduce the program with an objective to develop quality manpower to meet the shortage.
