Report of the Inauguration Ceremony of Freelancing and Outsourcing Program in Prime University
Prime University, one of the renowned universites in Bangladesh, started a course on Freelancing and Outsourcing under Prime University IT Solutions (PUITS), an organ of the university for the students, learning and earning. The inauguration ceremony was held on 27th of May, 2018 at the Conference room#2 of the Prime University permanent campus. It was organized by the department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE). Speakers present were Alhaz Mir Shahabuddin, Honorable Chairman of BOT, Md. Ashraf Ali, Honorable Senior Vice Chairman of BOT, Prof. Dr. M Abdus Sobhan, Vice Chancellor of Prime University, Prof. Dr. A.S.A Noor, Dean Faculty of Engineering and IT, Md. Arshad Ali, Honorable Traeasurer of Prime University, M. A Jabber, Registrar. The ceremony was presided over by Md. Abu Zaman Associate Professor and Head of the department of CSE and the coordinator of PUITS.
Besides, Deans and Heads of various disciplines along with the faculty members and the students were present in the ceremony. First of all, the honorable Chief Guest, Mr Mir Shahabuddin, Chairman of BOT inaugurated the program.
The recitation from the Holy Q'uran was performed by Qari Maolana Md. Abdul Kader
The program started with the welcome address of Professor Md. Abu Zaman, coordinator of PUITS. He emphasized on Freelancing and Outsourcing for the greater benefits of the students. He showed the value of the course for the students to build them competent for the upcoming future in the Digital Bangladesh.
The Honorable Chief Guest and the Chairman of BOT, Mir Shahabuddin emphasized on the course for outsourcing by the students. He assured the students that the University will provide all sort of help to run the program smoothly. He also mentioned about the Programming Club of Prime University (PUPC). Later on he talked with the participants and discussed about their needs and complaints.
The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. M Abdus Sobhan took the stage and spoke about the future of IT in Bangladesh as well as around the globe. He recalled some memorable events in his life and shared with the students. he told the students to take part in the classes attentively and ensured them that in case of any urgency he will assist the students directly.
Prof. Dr. A.S.A Noor, M. A Jabber, Md. Ashraf Ali, Md. Arshad Ali also talked about the course.
The Coordinator declared the session closed at the end.
