Anti-drug awareness campaign held at Prime University
On Tuesday 19 March 19, 2019 Prime University and Darus Salam Police Station,Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) jointly organized an Anti-Drug Campaign program.
A discussion session was held where the speakers briefly discussed about "Drug is one of the main sources of crime". Currently it is the most challenging issue
in our country and the world. The Program was presided over by Muhammad Kamal Hossain, Deputy Police Commissioner (In-Charge) DMP while Mir Shahabuddin,
Chairman Board of Trustees, Prime University was present as Chief Guest. Prof M Arshad Ali, Treasurer, M A Jabber, Registrar, Dean of different Faculties,
Head of the Departments, Officers, Staff and Students were present in the program. Mir Shahabuddin, Chairman, BOT express immense pleasure for taking good
initiative by the Government and Police. He also noticed Prime University has a committee itself on Anti-Drug and terrorism and the authority consciously
monitoring activities of the students. Chair of Programme said that the drug could push the country towards destruction. "The community should come together to
face the global problem." He urged the students to stay away from drugs, and lead a safe and healthy life. Students and teachers of the university, along with
members of DMP raised their voices against drug abuse and illicit trafficking with the slogan "Leave Drugs to Live and Save the Future Lives". Faculty members,
Senior officials and students of PU participated in the programme along with a number of police officers of Darus Salam Police Station were participated in the
program.
