𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫-𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐄𝐱𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐞𝐜𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐳 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐥𝐞𝐝 "𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐑𝐡𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐦: 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞", 𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟓, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓. The event drew enthusiastic participation from students and faculties of several noted colleges in Mirpur, including Mirpur College, Mirpur Girls' Ideal College, Dhaka Shiksha Board Laboratory School and College, Feroz Mukul (FM) International College, Bashir Uddin Ideal Higher Secondary School, and Banophool Adibashi Green Heart College.
The program was chaired by Dr. Md. Abdul Awal, Associate Professor and Head, Department of English. The distinguished speaker, Professor Md. Asad-Ullah-Al Hussain from the Department of English, Islamic University, Kushtia, inspired the audience with his insightful address. The event was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest, Professor Dr. Quazi Deen Mohd Khosru, Vice Chancellor, Prime University. Professor Dr. Abdur Rahman, Pro-Vice Chancellor and Treasurer, Professor Dr. Rakibul Hassan, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, and Capt. M A Jabbar, BN (Retd.), Registrar, Prime University were the Special Guests of this program.
In the Extempore Speech Competition, Rashida Hossain of Mirpur Girls' Ideal College secured the first position, followed by Alima Tasnim Soaiba of Mirpur College in second place, and Jannatul Ferdousi of Mirpur Girls' Ideal College in third. The Quiz Competition was equally competitive, with Afsana Anjum from Bashir Uddin Ideal Higher Secondary School taking the top prize, Jannatul Ferdousi earning second place, and Md. Kamrul Islam from Feroz Mukul (FM) International College securing third place.
All participants were honored with certificates in recognition of their efforts. Winners received certificates and prizes, and the participating colleges were awarded crests to commemorate their involvement.
The formal proceedings were followed by a lunch, fostering companionship among participants, guests, and volunteers, marking a successful conclusion to a day dedicated to celebrating eloquence and knowledge.
