A Seminar Entitled 'The Role of Judiciary in Upholding Human Rights in Bangladesh' Held in the Department of Law, Prime University
Department of Law in collaboration with the Centre for Research, HRD and Publications of Prime University has organized a seminar entitled 'The Role of Judiciary in Upholding Human Rights in Bangladesh' on 26 July 2019 (Friday) at 3:00 p.m. in room no. 805. Golam Sarowar, Head and Assistant Prof., Department of Law chaired the seminar. The program started with a welcome speech delivered by Md. Mostafizur Rahman, Assistant Prof. Department of Law.
Justice K M Kamrul Kader, the Honorable Justice of High Court Division, the Supreme Court of Bangladesh was the Keynote Speaker of the seminar. In the seminar the keynote speaker focused on human rights and fundamental freedom are necessary to ensure justice and the court play the role as watchdog by judicial review.
Mir Shahabuddin, Chairman, Board of Trustees graced the seminar as Chief Guest and Md. Ashraf Ali, Vice Chairman, Board of Trustees and Prof. Dr. Sarkar Ali Akkas, Chairman, Department of Law, Jagannath University were present in the program as special guests.
Among others Prof Dr. M. Arshad Ali Treasurer, M A Jabbar Registrar, Md. Nababur Rahman, Rtd. District and Sessions Judge, Dr. Md. Iqbal Hossain, Additional District and Sessions Judge, Mymensingh, Adjunct Faculties, Heads of different departments, Faculty members and students of the Department of Law were also present in the seminar.
